In Ridgewood, a pup celebrates one year of being her person’s “sidekick.”
Who doesn’t love a reason to celebrate? It’s always amazing to go all-out for birthdays, and Maria Sierra of Ridgewood made sure to do just that when her dog, Isalita (Isa for short), turned 1 year old. “She’s a red golden retriever, and she’s the friendliest dog in the world,” says Sierra, who posted about the occasion on Instagram. The two celebrated with lots of long walks, cuddles, outdoor playtime and special treats, including beef and a special doggy birthday cookie and cupcake. “My favorite part about my first year with her is having a sidekick all day long,” Sierra says. “She follows me everywhere and goes everywhere with me.” Isa is very smart and a little bit mischievous—according to Sierra, she knows how to open the laundry basket to steal socks.
