Cooling Off Hot Dogs
Bailey and Gipper celebrate summer with a big backyard splash.
The dog days of summer typically occur in July and August, but don’t tell that to pooches Bailey and Gipper. The female yellow Labrador and male black Lab/cur mix, respectively, recently celebrated the start of the season with a playtime session in the pool. Their pet sitter, Carisa Lisch of Dumont-based Carisa’s Loving Pet Care, posted this video of the pups beating the heat while swimming and playing fetch. “These dogs are labs, and they enjoy the pool after we get back from our walk,” she says. “They cool off during these hot days. We play fetch: They jump in the pool, grab the toy and bring it back…They chase each other and play in the yard afterward.”
