Off With A Bang

Fireworks light up the sky at Fort Lee’s July 4 celebration.

Is it really Independence Day without fireworks? Bergenites can’t get enough of these colorful, patriotic displays, and Richard Feliciano of Fort Lee agrees. On July 2, he headed to the first-ever Fort Lee Food Truck Festival, where he and his girlfriend joined hundreds of others for great food and a beautiful night. The highlight of the evening, says Feliciano, was the Fort Lee fireworks show, visible from the nearby Lewis J. Cole Middle School field. He posted some of the scenes on Instagram. “The town did an amazing job,” he says. “I know I’m not alone when I say that I hope they do the festival again next year.”
