Tennis Ball Lifeguard
In East Rutherford, a small dog keeps cool and shows off some serious retrieving skills.
Don’t worry if you’ve lost a tennis ball in the water—this dog’s got you covered. Korra, a miniature dachshund from East Rutherford, spent a hot summer day dutifully saving tennis balls from a small kiddie pool and leaving them out to dry in the sun. “Dad” Mike Roberts captured one moment and posted it on his Instagram: a video showing Korra making an impressive jump to get in and out of the pool. According to Roberts, Korra’s other favorite things include the beach (she also has a sandbox she plays in here in Bergen), walks to Samuel Nelkin County Park in Wallington and along Park Avenue in Rutherford and, of course, tennis balls. “She’s great at giving you a side eye and judging you,” reports Roberts.
