A Saddle River pup celebrates an important milestone.

Who doesn’t love a good first-day-of-school picture? If you’re diligent with them, there’s nothing like flipping through them after a few years have gone by and watching your child grow up year by year. Over in Saddle River, mini Bernedoodle Gus wanted in on the action. In honor of Gus’ sixth year going to doggy playdates at Jen’s Furry Friends in Ramsey, his “dad” Don Hochstein (who also runs a dog-walking service) posted a picture of him to his Instagram. “The playdates are still his favorite thing in the world,” says Hochstein “He runs around with his friends for a couple of hours and socializes in a safe, fun environment.” He also says that Gus is “young at heart,” despite being 8 years old, and that he gets along with everyone—dogs and people alike. Adds Hochstein: “He loves his long daily walks and hikes, and he’ll happily eat anything you offer him!”
