10 Fun Events For All To Enjoy
Want winter adventures? Live music? Lots of laughs? Bergen County has you covered.

You’re now officially recovered from the holiday season—and, possibly, also recovered from being under the weather. It’s time to start enjoying all Bergen County has to offer!
Whether you’re craving big laughs, quiet walks or a chance to give back, you’ll find something that satisfies this weekend in our community:
Jan. 16-18
- At Rutherford’s Banana’s Comedy Club, you can catch a show by funnyman Justin Silva. Known for his infectious energy, use of physical comedy and millions of followers across TikTok and Instagram, he’ll give five shows across three days: 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday, 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday and 7 p.m. on Sunday. See website for tickets.
Jan. 16
- Pull on your cowboy boots and head over to the Wyckoff YMCA, which is hosting a Line Dancing Workshop! Move together, learn something new and get your cardio up with this social workout. The fun starts at 6:30 p.m., and you can register online.
- Start your weekend off in style when country rock band Kickin’ Nash comes to the Shannon Rose in Ramsey. Enjoy high energy classic rock and country music in addition to the restaurant’s great menu—nothing like pub mac and cheese or chicken pot pie on a cold January night. The music starts at 9 p.m.
Jan. 17
- Celebrity fitness instructor Lloyd Pearson comes to the American Dream mall in East Rutherford for a special State of Fit event. He’ll lead a kickboxing–cardio fusion class, Swag & Boogie Burn, to get your heart rate up, and then wind you down with an elevated, restorative LWL Sync Session so you’ll leave centered and refreshed. This event begins at 10 a.m.; see website for tickets.
- Get out of the house and take part in a Community Science Saturday at Teaneck Creek Conservatory, which begins at 10 a.m. This session will focus on the science of snow and ice, and an expert will guide you through the winter landscape and help you identify the animals and habitats you see. Registration is recommended; see website for more.
- You can tap the sap from more than just maple trees! At the Tenafly Nature Center, you can take part in Sap to Syrup, a program that explores how sap becomes syrup and which local trees can be tapped for their own unique flavors. This is ideal for families with children, and two sessions are offered: 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. See website for registration.
- At the Williams Center in Rutherford, take part in Yukibana Rock Festival 2026, an all-day celebration of East Asian music and pop culture. Check out dozens of live music acts, an extensive vendor market, karaoke, photo ops, artist panels and much more. It all kicks off at 1 p.m. For tickets and more, check out Williams Center’s website.
- Over in Englewood, Bergen Performing Arts Center hosts Freestyle Flashback, a night of dancing, DJs and fantastic tunes. Let yourself be transported back in time with some of the best freestyle and dance pop sounds of the ‘80s and ‘90s. The music starts at 7 p.m.; see website for tickets.
- See 1926 black and white movie Beau Geste on the big screen at the Barrymore Center in Fort Lee. This special screening will include live piano accompaniment by Makia Matsumura, for the true silent film experience. The movie starts at 4:30 p.m., and tickets can be found online (and, if you’re craving something more modern, stick around until 7 p.m. and catch Sinners, which just won two Golden Globes).
Jan. 18
- In honor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, the Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County in Teaneck hosts a special intergenerational celebration where participants can help create “support packages” for local libraries and environmental organizations. The event starts at 11 a.m., and is free.
- Over in Mahwah, the Grandpa Band plays a show filled with folk and bluegrass standards at the Mahwah Public Library’s Winter Room. Come tap your toes and take in the music—singing along is also welcome! The show starts at 2 p.m., and registration is recommended, so check out the website.
