12 Spots For The Big Game

Bergen County bars are havens for cheering, snacking and soaking up Super Bowl Sunday.
Celebrating Match Victory Of Our Favorite Rugby Team In A Bar!

Super Bowl Sunday is just days away, and it’s the one day a year when watching the game is a full-on event. Think big plays, cold drinks and the kind of crowd reactions you can’t get at home no matter how large your television.

From packed sports bars to local hangouts with wall-to-wall screens, Bergen County has no shortage of great spots to catch every moment (and commercial). Below are some of the best places to watch, cheer and settle in for the biggest game of the year—many of them are previous Readers’ Choice Award winners. (Remember to vote for your favorite sports bar in the 2026 Readers’ Choice contest!)

  • Biggie’s. A long-time Readers’ Choice honoree, this Bergen mainstay has all the TVs you could ask for and a large menu (burgers, wings and seafood, anyone?) to keep you glued to your seat or barstool all game long.
    *430 Rte. 17, Carlstadt, 201.933.4000
  • Blue 42. Though this bar is a haven for Green Bay Packers fanatics, you’ll find fans of every team here. While cheering on either the Seattle Seahawks or the New England Patriots this Sunday, be sure to try one of several dozen wing sauces offered here (PB&J, for instance.)
*158 Market St., Elmwood Park, 201.773.0970
  • The Cornerstone Restaurant & Bar. A regular on the Readers’ Choice winners’ list, this lively restaurant has dozens of televisions peppered in every section so you won’t miss any action.
    *84 Broadway, Hillsdale, 201.666.8688
  • Davey’s Irish Pub. Sports fans have been coming to this neighborhood favorite since 1974. Enjoy traditional game-day food like burgers and chicken fingers or go for Irish fare like shepherd’s pie or bangers and mash.
    *5 Park St., Montvale, 201.391.9356
  • Heights Bar & Grill. Dozens of television hang above the bar, which is in the middle of the restaurant. To dine on the delicious tavern fare, choose one of the high-top tables that line the perimeter.
    *163 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights, 201.288.9338
  • Midland Brew House. With dozens of beers on tap and a menu that runs the gamut (wings, steamed clams, coal-fired pizza and 16 oz. ribeye, for instance), this hot spot will tempt fans to arrive early and stay well after the game has ended.
*374 N. Midland Ave., Saddle Brook
  • Miller’s Ale House. One of the county’s top sports bars and repeat Readers’ Choice honoree, this local chain has separate rooms and bars dedicated to a specific sport. This time of year, football takes center stage.
    *270 Rte. 4, Paramus, 201.342.4800
  • The Orange Lantern. This neighborhood bar is a popular destination for food and live music, but the game day vibes are just as memorable.
    *5 E. Firehouse Ln., Paramus, 201.652.4443
  • Redd’s Restaurant & Biergarten. Fans know this hot spot in the shadow of MetLife Stadium all too well. It offers dozens of TVs and an assortment of pizzas, sandwiches, craft brews and more.
