We really need to hand it to IHOP’s marketing department—the chain’s National Pancake Day, when restaurants invite patrons to enjoy a free short stack, is a stroke of genius. This year, it’s on Tuesday, March 3.

But maybe you don’t want to wait on the lines, or you’d rather support local businesses (we know that we do!). You’re in luck, because Bergen has a spread of delicious pancake places just waiting for you.

The following were picks in our 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. And don’t forget—voting is now OPEN for 2026, so you can make sure your favorite breakfast spot, brunch spot and diner gets its flowers.
