Celebrate Pi Day in Bergen County!

Pop quiz! How do you calculate the circumference of a circle?

The answer is 2πr but, if you didn’t know it off the top of your head, we’re not going to tell your high school math teacher. We bet you know the approximate value of Pi, though—3.14, the same as Saturday’s date.

Pi Day, as it’s been dubbed, has been celebrated since 1988, and there are some who make a full-day celebration of it (check out Teaneck’s Ethical Culture Society, which is hosting a celebration filled with math games, pizza and dessert).
