Say hello to Miss Remi Lemon, a 6-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, and her sister Miss Peach Bellini, a 4-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog. Their names are mini tongue twisters, but owners Nicole and Ryan Olivieri of River Edge never worry—they simply call them Missy (Miss Remi Lemon) and Peaches (Miss Peach Bellini).

Both pups were adopted from Bainbridge Berners in Chesterfield, and they’re proof that opposites attract. Missy is huggable, outgoing, playful and social; Peaches, on the other hand, prefers her own family rather than making new friends. Peaches also has one blue eye in addition to the brown—“Not breed-standard, but we love her for her uniqueness!” says Nicole. She also reports that both are “loving family dogs who are playful and protective.”

Both pooches love to travel. “They love spending time at our log cabin in Schroon Lake, N.Y., in the heart of the Adirondacks,” says Nicole, “and we just purchased an RV because we love to have them with us when we go on trips, from Florida to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to the mountains of New York.” Mountain dogs, indeed!
