Fort Lee’s view of the NYC skyline offers a glimpse of the 9/11 tribute.

You can get some incredible panoramic views here in Bergen: From the Stateline Lookout in Alpine to the top of the blue trail at Ramapo Country Reservation, you can see our state and beyond unfolding before your eyes. And some views allow you to see something even more special. On a recent evening in Fort Lee, Linda Szymkiewicz caught a picture of the New York City skyline with a powerful spotlight shooting up into the sky. “The 9/11 site is testing its tribute,” Szymkiewicz explains in her Instagram post. The beams will be on view from dusk on Sept. 11 until dawn on Sept. 12.
