Asbury Park Polar bear races:

The Shore athletic club holds its 53rd annual event at the Asbury Park Convention Hall. The 10-mile racewalk and 5-mile healthwalk begin at 10 a.m., and the 5K starts at noon. Information: shoreac.org.

JSRC New Year’s Eve Twilight Fun Run and Party:

The Jersey Shore Running Club’s annual event takes place at Leggett’s Sand Bar in Manasquan. The 5K begins at 4 p.m. more info: jsrc.org.
