A lot of things are different in school these days than back when we were kids—now, for instance, the 100th day of school is a pretty big deal. With a little help from their parents, Brooke and Jason Meister, brother-and-sister duo Lexie, 7, and Miles, 6, of The Smith School in Tenafly really ran with the assignment for the 100th day. They shopped on Amazon for the perfect accessories for the second grader and kindergartener, which for Lexie included a wig with curlers, glasses, a chain for the glasses and a pearl necklace. She paired the pieces with an old floral nightgown and one of mom’s cardigans. Miles wore a vest, beret, glasses and a bow tie with a button-down shirt and jeans. Of course, proud mom Brooke had to share the 100th day of school photo on Instagram. “The kids were so excited to celebrate the 100th day of school,” says Brooke. “Lexie’s class did awards, and she even won best dressed grandma!” For more of what’s going on around Bergen County, follow us on Instagram @bergenmagnj.
