A Pup In A Tub

This playful cocker spaniel from Upper Saddle River likes almost everything—except bathtime.

Talk about puppy dog eyes! Meet Layla, a 1-year-old English cocker spaniel from Upper Saddle River, who is not a fan of bathtime. “She’s never liked taking a bath,” says owner Nathalie Guarini, who snapped some pictures of Layla’s discontent and posted them on Instagram. “She doesn’t like rain either, or the pool in the summer. She just isn’t a water dog, even though English cocker spaniels are known for loving the water.” Eventually, Layla did submit to bathtime, but not without some serious pouting. “She was so expressive that I needed to take photos! She looked so annoyed and discontent with her long eyelashes,” says Guarini. Thankfully, Guarini reports, Layla was back to her regular self once dry—happy, playful ang eager for attention and hugs.
