MARCH 5 Young readers in grades 4 to 6 will have a blast at the Oakland Library’s AWESOME KIDS BOOK CLUB, which meets from 3 to 4:30 p.m. During each meeting, curious minds will explore new and exciting novels along with themed activities. MARCH 8 Diversify your music appreciation at the Ridgewood Symphony’s ALL WE NEED IS LOVE concert, beginning at 8 p.m. at West Side Presbyterian Church. MARCH 9 Want to get fit and donate to a good cause? Join a four-hour indoor cycling relay at RIDE FOR A REASON BERGEN COUNTY at Life Time Athletic in Montvale. The event, which is open to gym members and non-members, will raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Life Time Foundation. MARCH 10 Don your best green garb and celebrate all things Ireland at the annual BERGEN COUNTY ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE. Festivities begin at 1 p.m. with a flag-raising ceremony at Roy Brown Elementary School in Bergenfield, and the parade will kick off at 2 p.m. and proceed down Washington Avenue. MARCH 10 Let kids exercise their minds during a YOUTH YOGA session from 3 to 3:30 p.m. at the Bergenfield Library. The program is intended for ages 6 and older and is open to all skill levels. MARCH 14 Feeling lucky? See if you have the magic touch at the PARKWAY SCHOOL CASINO NIGHT & TRICKY TRAY from 6 to 10 p.m. at The Estate at Florentine Gardens in River Vale. The event, hosted by the Parkway School PTA of Paramus, includes a formal dinner buffet, beverages, gaming tables and raffles. Admission is $80, which includes $200 in play money. MARCH 15–16 Comedian DAVE LANDAU will tickle your funny bone during his performances at Bananas Comedy Club in Hasbrouck Heights. MARCH 17 Did you know one pint of Guinness has roughly 125 calories? Before you celebrate with a few drinks, feel the burn at the RACEFASTER ST. PATRICK’S DAY 5K AND KIDS FUN RUN, which kicks off at Memorial Middle School in Fair Lawn. Runners are encouraged to wear costumes and show off their Irish spirit.
