bergenPAC Welcomes Home The Isley Brothers
The Isley Brothers will perform at bergenPAC on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m.

The Isley Brothers stand alone in the history of American music with an unparalleled impact on the likes of the Beatles and Ice Cube. With a chart-topping presence spanning from the ’50s to the present day, they assembled a mix of rock, funk, and R&B hits like “Twist and Shout,” “Testify,” “This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You),” “It’s Your Thing,” “That Lady” and “Between the Sheets.”
The legendary musical family, who had their first hit in 1959 with the party classic “Shout,” lived in Englewood and Teaneck throughout their careers. In 2021, their former hometowns dedicated the streets where they lived as The Isley Brothers Way.
“I’m truly grateful and humbled that Teaneck and Englewood, two cities that are so near and dear to me, have chosen to honor the Isley Brothers in this way,” Ronald Isley told The Record before the dedication ceremonies. “This is something very special to Ernie, me and the whole Isley family, and something we don’t take for granted.”
The eldest Isley brothers–O’Kelly, Rudolph, Ronald and Vernon–started out as a teenage gospel quartet in Ohio before Vernon tragically died at 13 while riding his bike. The family then moved to New York City in 1957 before making their homes in Englewood and Teaneck a couple of years later. The group would also include Marvin Isley and Chris Jasper, whose sister married Rudolph before the families moved east.
Ronald, the lead singer, and guitarist Ernie are the remaining members who will take the bergenPAC stage for this homecoming performance.
Tickets start at $99 and are available at ticketmaster.com or by calling or visiting bergenPAC’s Box Office (201.227.1030).
