The Flavor Labs was founded in 2020 by Casey Jojic, a former finance professional who left a successful 17-year career to pursue her lifelong passion: nurturing an appreciation for food through hands-on learning. Her vision behind TFL is to demystify the kitchen and make cooking more accessible to families. The use of straight forward recipes and simple ingredients makes it easy to bring TFL’s lessons home.

Casey’s greatest professional accomplishment is building her business from scratch in the midst of COVID and eventually expanding to a second location with 30 employees. In 2025, Casey’s focus will be on complementing TFL’s existing offering with more corporate teambuilding events and adult cooking classes.

Casey’s inspiration comes from her mother, Phyllis, a retired NYC school teacher whose love language is food. She inspired a love for teaching and sharing joy through cooking, which became the foundation upon which TFL was built. Casey’s biggest cheerleaders are her husband, Dejan, and her daughters, Maya and Sofie.
