Celebrate Pi Day At These Bergen Bakeries

You can calculate the circumference of these pastries, but taking a bite of them is even better.
4 Pi Day

Allow us to take you back to high school geometry for a moment (it’s just for fun, don’t worry!). How do you solve for the circumference of a circle?

That would be 2πr, and we don’t blame you if you didn’t know it off the top of your head. But you might know the approximate value of Pi off the top of your head—3.14, the same three numbers as today’s date. Happy Pi Day!

Pi Day has been celebrated since 1988, when Larry Shaw, an employee of San Francisco science museum the Exploratorium, organized a day-long celebration of this mathematical concept. Part of that celebration was eating fruit pies, a tradition that has continued to this day.

If you feel like taking part in the celebrations, you’re in luck; Bergen is filled with fantastic bakeries where you can pick up the perfect pie.
