Pop quiz! How do you calculate the circumference of a circle?

The answer is 2πr but, if you didn’t know it off the top of your head, we’re not going to tell your high school math teacher. We bet you know the approximate value of Pi, though—3.14, the same as Saturday’s date.

Pi Day, as it’s been dubbed, has been celebrated since 1988, and there are some who make a full-day celebration of it (check out Teaneck’s Ethical Culture Society, which is hosting a celebration filled with math games, dessert and pizza). But if you just want an excuse to indulge in a favorite treat, here are some spots to pick up great pies in Bergen County all year long, from bakeries for gourmet groceries:
