‘Donut’ Miss These Sweet Treats
Follow the scent of apple cider donuts to these Bergen farms and shops.

By now, most of us have fully embraced fall—and that means making the most of its delicious seasonal treats. Pumpkin spice gets plenty of attention, but let’s be honest: When it comes to autumn indulgences, few things inspire as much enthusiasm as a freshly made apple cider donut.
Soft, sweet and warmly spiced, these seasonal favorites are the stuff of fall dreams. And luckily, you don’t have to travel far to get your fix. Bergen County is home to some delicious destinations (beyond the chain shops) for tracking down these rings of autumn goodness.
So grab a friend, take the scenic route and don’t even think about counting how many you eat. We’ve rounded up some great local farms and farmstands—some Readers’ Choice winners and all highly rated—where you can get your hands on an apple cider donut (or a half-dozen). Because some fall traditions are simply too delicious to skip.
