Dumont’s New Firehouse Dog
Kiwi may not look like a typical rescue dog, but she looks like a natural on Dumont Fire Department’s Ladder 2 truck.

Who says a firehouse dog must be a dalmatian? Adorable Kiwi, a 2-year-old Pembroke Welsh corgi, made herself at home on the Dumont Fire Department’s ladder truck during last weekend’s Dumont Day celebration. Kiwi’s mom, Briana Mompellier, posted this image thanking the department for allowing them to snap the photo. “The Dumont Ambulance Corps and Dumont Fire Department are 100 percent volunteer, and they have some wonderful members who take care of the residents in their time of need and are always there in case of an emergency,” Briana tells BERGEN. “This picture was the first time that Kiwi had seen the trucks, and she was very intrigued by the lights and sirens!” For more of what’s going on around Bergen County, follow us on Instagram @bergenmagnj.
