Thanks to late-season festivals and fairs, we’ve held on to summer for as long as possible—but alas, the end is here. You may be thinking about a seasonal leaf-peeping trip, but before you go, perhaps you can squeeze in one last sweet summer treat with family and friends.
Before you switch to pumpkin spice latte and hot apple cider, head to one of Bergen County’s great ice cream parlors for one last hurrah. Many shops are already closed until spring, but the following locations are among those that are still scooping:
Cake and Cone, East Rutherford. If you’ve been looking for great hard ice cream, stop at this roadside stand for a variety of amazing flavors such as mango madness and moose tracks. Who says summer has to end?
