12 Events For An Exciting Weekend

It’s not quite summer, but there’s plenty of family fun happening in Bergen County. Here are a dozen ways to enjoy music, laughs, food and more!

It’s not quite summer yet, but who says we have to wait for June 20 to bask in the sun and have a little fun?

Bergen County is packed with things to see, do and experience. Whether you’re flying solo, rounding up the crew or planning a family outing, there’s something for everyone this weekend. Check out some of the events below and make the most of your days off!

June 6–8

  • Enjoy the final weekend of the L.E.A.D. Carnival at the Garden State Plaza. The family-friendly fair features rides, games, activities for all ages and delicious food. The fun takes place from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and from 3 to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are available online.
  • The Leonia Players Guild enters the second to last weekend of its performance of Desperate Measures, a musical based on the book and lyrics by Peter Kellogg. Friday and Saturday shows start at 8 p.m., and the Sunday performance is at 2 p.m. General admission is $30, and discounts apply for seniors and students. Purchase tickets online.

June 6

  • The Nerds, one of New Jersey’s most popular bands, is performing a free concert starting at 7:30 p.m. at Saddle Brook’s municipal complex. Attendees should bring their own chairs and blankets. The event also will include food trucks.
  • The King of Pop comes to life at MJ Live: Michael Jackson Tribute Concert, happening at 8 p.m. at bergenPAC in Englewood. The show will feature Jalles Franca as Michael Jackson, who’ll belt out hits and show off dance moves just like MJ did. Tickets range from $39 to $69 and are available online.

June 7

  • Check out classic British cars and motorcycles during A Touch of England 2025 at The Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus. The fun takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will treat visitors to the vintage autos as well as a tour of the historic grounds and fish and chips available from an English food truck. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for ages 6 to 12.
  • Head to Rutherford’s Lincoln Park for the borough’s annual PrideFest. The free event, hosted by the Rutherford Pride Alliance and the Rutherford Arts Council, includes entertainment, games and activities for the family, arts and crafts, vendors, food trucks, a beer garden and more. A flag-raising at 11 a.m. kicks off the event.
  • Ridgewood’s Memorial Park at Van Neste Square will host the village’s Pride Marketplace. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., attendees can join the free celebration, featuring live performances, vendors and plenty of food.
  • Listen to great music at Les Paul’s 110th Birthday Celebration Tribute Concert at Ramapo College in Mahwah. The event, hosted by the Mahwah Museum, takes place from 2 to 5 p.m. and will spotlight music innovator and Mahwah’s own Les Paul. The concert will feature musicians DnA, Ed Laub Quartet and Tom and Sandy Doyle. Admission is $30 per person.
  • Raise a glass and enjoy a festive time with friends at Meadowlands Racetrack Beerfest. More than 60 producers will be on hand from 5 to 9 p.m., offerings tastings and seminars to everyone who appreciates a good sip. Tickets are $45 online, $50 on the day of the event. June 8

  • Skip the roads and run the 5K at the Farm, a 3.1-mile run around Demarest Farms’ apple orchards in Hillsdale. The race, to support the Hillsdale Emergency Services, also includes music throughout the course, a petting zoo and play area for kids, food, a beer garden and more. The race starts at 9 a.m. Registration is $40 for adults and $15 for ages 16 and under. Sign up online.
  • How does a mile full of games, rides, food, music and more sound? Montvale’s annual Mile Long Street Fair returns to Paragon Drive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the borough and will include those attractions as well as more than 100 vendors, a beer garden and more. Admission is free.
  • Support the LGBT+ community at Fort Lee Pride 2025, taking place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fort Lee Recreation Center. The program will include exhibitors and resources, live music, activities for kids, food trucks and more. Admission is free.
