New Jersey Golf Foundation

The NJGF’s 11th annual Golf Classic recently raised more than $187,000 for local youth, military and special needs programs, with its chosen primary beneficiary being Golf in Schools, an initiative that helps introduce the sport to young children.

National Night Out

Harrington Park residents had a chance to meet with local emergency service personnel during the annual event at Highland Field. Attendees were provided with free food, drinks and games, plus a bounce house and face painting for kids.

Bergen United Way

The local chapter held two events at the Ridgewood Country Club. The Very Special Outing supported the development of community based affordable housing for individuals with special needs, and Women Fore Women was a conference that brought likeminded women together for an afternoon of golf lessons and conversation on leadership.

NJ Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The group recently partnered with Subaru of America to support the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center. The hospital received 80 blankets, each with a message of hope, to distribute to patients. Subaru also donated 10 activity boxes containing coloring supplies for the children.

Family Promise of Bergen County

The organization, which provides homeless working families with children access to hot meals and a safe place to stay, received a $7,500 donation from M&T Bank to cover miscellaneous costs and maintenance of its bus. The 14-seat vehicle transports families between the Family Promise headquarters and congregations across the county.
