Whether it’s at a volunteer center or gala, Bergenites always show up to support their friends and neighbors.

Vice President of the DRI Foundation Tom Karyla

Mahwah-based Inserra Supermarkets recently donated more than $345,000 to the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI), the largest center of its kind dedicated to curing diabetes. The Inserra Family Foundation matched every dollar raised during its annual DRI fundraiser.

Bergen Volunteer Center

The Bergen County Harley Ladies helped wrap presents at the center.

The center recently held its “All Wrapped Up” holiday giving initiative, which matches individuals in need with volunteer donors who ensure all program participants are remembered during the holidays. By the end of the month-long program, BVC provided holiday gifts to 3,500 people in the area.
