The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation awarded a $1,200 grant to the Dr. Grieco Scholarship Fund at the Academies @ Englewood in Englewood. The annual grant aims to strengthen students and communities through the arts and gave each contestant from the 13th annual “Englewood Idol” the opportunity to professionally record songs.

The Ridgewood Arts Foundation (RAF) held its honors event at Park West Loft in Ridgewood to recognize Reel Voices Film Festival and Tic Toc (To Introduce Culture to Our Children), and award its first scholarship to RHS grad and Temple theater student Maeve Montague.

Ed and Joan Doherty, co-founders of Doherty Enterprises, matched their employees’ donations and raised over $524,000 for WOW a Friend Foundation, an employee-funded endeavor that services Doherty Enterprise associates and their families when they’re burdened by circumstances such as unexpected medical expenses.
