NY/NJ Baykeeper

City Place at the Promendae in Edgewater recently held its grand re-opening celebration and fundraiser to support NY/NJ Baykeeper. Hundreds visited the center along the Hudson River during the course of the two-day event, and a total of $1,000 was raised for the organization. Play for P.I.N.K.

Members of the Ramsey Golf & Country Club and their guests showed support for Play for P.I.N.K. through a ladies’ nine-hole golf tournament and dinner. Awards were presented and raffles were awarded during the evening program. Proceeds from the event benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. 4–6 Country club members and their guests participated as foursomes during the golf tournament, with players donning pink in support of breast cancer awareness.

Edgewood Country Club

Edgewood Country Club in River Vale marked the opening of the 2017 season and its new clubhouse at its Opening Night Gala. In addition, the country club presented a $2,500 donation to the Township of River Vale to be used for the town’s recreation programs. 7 River Vale Business Administrator Gennaro Rotella and Edgewood Country Club General Manager Todd Zorn.

Coldwell Banker

Lance Maiden, a local realtor from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Fort Lee, recently attended the Fort Lee Arts and Music Festival, which featured many vendors and was attended by hundreds of local residents. Maiden is a USAF veteran, is active in the American Legion, contributes to the Bergen County Veterans Affairs Office and supports the National Brain Tumor Society. 8 Lance Maiden.

Hackensack University Medical Center 

Inserra Supermarkets hosted an ice cream social for the patients of the Hackensack Meridian Health-Hackensack University Medical Center Children’s Cancer Institute. Members of the Inserra family along with senior leadership of Inserra Supermarkets worked with the medical center team to create and deliver made-to-order ice cream sundaes to patients and visiting family. 9 Ron Onorato, Stephen Percy, Mark Walker, Vera Kovalski, Rob Wilson, Peter Cavo, Jenna Werner, Lawrence Inserra III, Lawrence Inserra Jr. and Erin Feuster.

Women's Club of Old Tappan

Hundreds of community members supported the Woman’s Club of Old Tappan, a volunteer service organization, at its annual Spring Rummage fundraiser at the Old Tappan Fire House. Christian Health Care Center

The Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff recently held its annual golf classic at the Knoll Country Club in Parsippany. The event raised $128,000, which will support the center’s 2017 Annual Fund. CareOne

Make-A-Wish New Jersey honored CareOne, a premier family-owned healthcare organization with more than 29 facilities throughout New Jersey, with its Organization of Year honor. CareOne CEO Daniel Straus and Executive Vice President Elizabeth Straus were also presented the Humanitarian of the Year award. 12 Tom Weatherall, Daniel Straus, Elizabeth Straus, Frank Bolte, Emily Schonberg and Rosemarie Farr.

Bergen Volunteer Center
