A family comes together for a day of tradition, family and an extraordinary number of tomatoes.
A family who cooks together, stays together, and some serious cooking was going on in Saddle River recently. Joseph Nicoletti and his entire family, young and old, took to the driveway one sunny day armed with crates of tomatoes, stock pots, bowls and a full day. This “tomato mafia” (as custom shirts proclaimed them) spent the day assembling dozens of jars of home-made tomato sauce.
