For over two decades, Dr. Ilya Lipkin has been addressing his patients’ smile concerns and goals with compassion and respect. On September 11, 2001, Dr. Lipkin embarked on his career at a practice which he took over a mere two years later. His focus has always been on the health and function of the mouth as well as creating beautiful smiles.
Dr. Lipkin immigrated to the United States from Russia in 1990. Always wanting to be a doctor, he was drawn to the science and artistry of dentistry. It’s by more than happenstance that Dr. Lipkin chose to specialize in orthodontics. In his second year of dental school at NYU’s College of Dentistry, his professor noticed his teeth were extremely crooked and put a full set of metal braces on him. Dr. Lipkin became fascinated with the life-changing impact and the confidence it bestowed; he wanted to give that gift to others. “Dentistry is my love, but orthodontics is my passion!”
Dr. Lipkin completed his residency in orthodontics at NYU’s Department of Post Graduate Orthodontics. Highly trained and specialized in the structure of the chewing system, the jaw joints and in the treatment of TMJ and airway issues, Dr. Lipkin treats both adults and children. Many of Dr. Lipkin’s patients sought him out because they were dissatisfied with their previous orthodontic outcomes; numerous patients coming for treatment and retreatment from across the country and even across the globe.
As an education enthusiast, Dr. Lipkin takes time and great care with every patient to ensure they understand treatment options and procedures. This important communication allows Dr. Lipkin to develop a custom plan that meets his patients’ lifestyles and needs.
