This week was filled with all good things.  Everyone on the team is helping us get focused and really take care of ourselves.  They are amazing!

We met Julie Cohen, our nutritionist,  Kathy Lindert, our hypnotist, and Keith, our hairstylist.  This amazing team and our trainer, Maureen, especially are very sincere in what they do to keep us feeling the best we can.  I really think it is working!

The gym is challenging for me since I really am not in shape, but I am really starting to feel excited and want to help myself feel good.

Oh, and Meredith is so sweet!  Our favorite photographer who follows us wherever we go!

We are having so much fun! —Patricia

Monday, May 13

Today was my kindergartener's class trip to the zoo.  I am feeling a little more energetic after my first week of workouts. After a long day at the zoo, it was home to my daily routine.  I went to do cardio at the gym after my kids were asleep.  I was able to do my 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical, but it was definitely a struggle!

Tuesday, May 14

Our day started off meeting Keith and Alan at Greg David Salon.  It was very exciting for us to get ready for this portion of our makeover. We discussed our hair color, texture, and our desired styles.  It was fun to look at the various styles and listen to the opinions of the professionals when deciding what our new look would be!

After our consultation at the salon, my mom and I quickly went back to my house to help my dad put my two little ones down for a nap.  As soon as they were asleep we got back in the car and headed to the gym to meet Maureen.  Today's workout was no joke!  Maureen definitely stepped it up a notch and we both felt it. It felt so good to be able to get through that workout!

Wednesday, May 15

Nutritionist 10:00 AM, Maureen 1:00 PM

This morning I woke up and my legs were sore from my workout the day before.  It was honestly a very welcome feeling for me.  I felt energized and excited because I felt like my hard work the day before was beneficial!

Our first appointment today was with Julie Cohen, our nutritionist. We were definitely anxious to go to this appointment because we knew that Julie's wisdom would be a key component to our weight loss and overall fitness and health.  We absolutely loved Julie!  We discussed the importance of water, green vegetables, the right kind of multivitamin, and which foods to avoid based on our blood types.  The hour was educational and fun.  We each were given a food journal to track our meals and snacks for the week.

After going home for lunch and a few hours with the kids, it was off to the gym again to meet Maureen. We went a little easier on legs today, after yesterday's workout! Still, the workout was tough and it felt great!

Thursday, May 16

I spent the majority of today getting errands done.  I also shuttled my kids to their activities and went about my normal routine, which with four little kids is anything but normal!  I finished my day with 45 minutes of cardio at the gym.  My determination and drive to get back into shape and get healthy is getting stronger.  I am so excited to keep moving and inching towards my goal!

Friday, May 17

I started the day walking my daughter to school.  It is one mile each way.  It was a great way to start the day.

After my walk I met with Kathy Lindert. I outlined my goals with her, discussed the power of the subconscious mind, and finished my session with hypnosis.  It was an incredible experience and I am excited and curious to see with the outcome will be!

Saturday, May 18

I went to my first Zumba class today.  I have been hearing so many people talk about Zumba in recent months, but had no idea what to expect.  I loved it!!!  It was fun and challenging at the same time.  The hour moved along and I felt great afterwards.  I can't wait to go back again next week!

Sunday, May 19

Today was the dance recital for my 6 year old and my 3 year old.  It was a busy, busy day, but so much fun!  The girls were great!  Looking forward to next week's appointments!
