Making An Entrance
In Upper Saddle River, a dad’s impromptu entrance sparks joy and dance with his young son.
Who says you need a lot of planning for a surprise party? Patrick Gonzales of Upper Saddle River was out driving a route for his carrier business, Patrick & Son Provisions, and his wife, Catherina, had taken their son Rocco to a local playground. “It was the perfect warm afternoon, and I decided to make an entrance he’d never forget,” says Gonzales. He drove into the parking lot with “Elmo Slide,” a song Rocco loves, blasting from his car. “The second he heard it, his face lit up. Before I knew it, we were both dancing together in the middle of the parking lot,” Gonzales says. He captured the moment and posted it to his Instagram where he added, “Life is so good.”
