Everyone loves a parade, especially when winter gives way for warmer weather. Local photographer Joe Werling attended last weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Rutherford and learned just that, posting these images from the festivities. “I wanted to capture the feeling of the day—the families lining the street, flags raised, music playing and the pride that fills a small town during moments like this,” he says. “To me, it’s a reminder that patriotism isn’t something abstract—it lives in communities. It’s neighbors standing shoulder to shoulder, celebrating heritage, tradition and the shared freedom that allows events like this to happen.”
