Memories That Last
Father’s Day might be the perfect day to celebrate it but, in Ridgewood, being a great dad is an everyday joy.

Being a parent is a full-time job—and a full-time honor. To celebrate Father’s Day, Kayleigh Klein of Ridgewood posted a video montage commemorating a year in the life of her husband Terrence’s relationship with their daughter, Parker. Set to Jack Johnson’s “My Little Girl,” the video shows everything from Christmas visits with Santa to naps together at the airport, in addition to everyday moments like rocking her to sleep while a football game plays in the background. “We had to go through in vitro fertilization (IFV) to have Parker, and Terrence was at every single appointment from the beginning,” says Kayleigh. “Even before she was born, he was the most hands-on dad. My family owns MacMurphy’s pub in Ridgewood. Summer is our busiest time, and I sometimes joke he becomes a single dad from Thursday until Sunday because of my hours. He has never complained, and has mastered solo bath and bedtime like a champ,” she adds.
