Today I went to meet Kathy Lindert at Advanced Hypnosis. I have to admit, I was apprehensive going into it and had no idea what to expect. In fact, I didn’t even know what I was going to tell her I needed help with when I got there. Granted, I have lateness issues and I procrastinate a lot, but I wasn’t sure if these were even problems she could help with! When you think of a hypnotist, you think of getting help to stop smoking or weight loss—I wasn’t sure if she could help me get to where I needed to be on time! However, the first thing she stressed to me is, “What you believe, you will become!” We had a 2-hour session in which I told her many of my weaknesses, and she helped me find a way to break them all down. Not only did I leave there feeling empowered, I also felt like I could really get a hold of all the things that I thought I had absolutely no control over. She sent me home with a CD to play at night before I went to sleep in order to really make the changes I so desire. I feel very confident about how well this is going to work. And it felt really good to go home and wash my kitchen floor—I had been procrastinating doing so for quite some time! In other words: I think my first session went great.

Today I met Denise from the Urban Muse in Denville. I was looking forward to my facial all week. I hadn’t had one in so long and I have been in desperate need of some pampering! She didn’t disappoint! In fact, from the moment I got there, the service was so welcoming and friendly and I got right in. The table that I laid on was oversized and so comfortable, not to mention warm! It was heavenly from the moment I laid face down where she started off with a back massage. The entire treatment was incredible, and she picked something that was perfect for my skin type. She then finished it off with a hand and foot massage. My skin was glowing afterwards and I felt amazing! She sent me home with products that were ideal to keep my skin looking great, including moisturizers, scrubs and a mask treatment. On the way out, I got to check out the spa store. It is beautiful with so many ornate pieces of jewelry, cards and decorations. There were so many things to look at, and I wanted one of everything in the store. After a day at home with my teething 17-month old son, I felt like a new woman after leaving there! Relaxed and refreshed…and I can’t wait for my next visit!
