In June, we selected this duo to undergo a four-month makeover with the help of our expert advisory panel. Here’s a bit of what they’ve been up to:

Patricia Iannuzzi (left)
age: 62 · height: 5´3˝ · starting weight: 174 · pounds lost: 5
“I put my family first, but I’m learning I have to take care of myself too. Kathy Lindert’s been great at coaching us to make changes.”

Juliane O’Brien (right)
age: 39 · height: 5´2˝ · starting weight: 178 · pounds lost: 15
“Every second of the day is being used! My kids are exercising with me. I’m drinking water and cooking healthy meals for all of us. It’s a new lifestyle.”

Personal trainer Maureen Kelly of AE Fitness Montclair has stepped up the intensity of the workouts, while Zumba classes with instructor Crystal Gaynor ensure the mother and daughter are having fun while fitting in their cardio. Both are new to exercise, and massage therapy treatments by Andrea Sandahl Hart of Restorative Therapies have aided in muscle recovery and preventing injury. Holistic health counselor Julie Cohen of Mad Nutrition has also been key to the winning team’s weight-loss efforts and overall fitness and health. As for dentistry, the ladies are under the excellent care of Edward Romano, D.D.S., and Matthew Vaccaro, D.D.S., of Aesthetic Smiles of New Jersey. Patricia is getting eight veneers plus two crowns, one on either side of the veneers, which will give her a dramatically improved smile, while Juliane will receive a whitening treatment.
