One-Man Jam Session
Whether you prefer Bach and Beethoven or Beyoncé and Bruno Mars, music is food for the soul. Twenty-seven-year-old Glen Rock resident Brandon Oliff uses his guitar to fuel his heart, and he jams everything from rock to blues. He recently posted this video of himself improvising a heavy metal jam, which was influenced by some of his favorite bands like Journey, Europe, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Foreigner and Poison. Oliff is the lead guitarist and vocalist for local bands The Jersey Riff and Crescent Kings. “I find it fun to show off these kinds of videos on socials because I think they show off my skills as a lead player, but also show my imperfections and mistakes,” he says.
