21st Century Music & Collectibles, Rochelle Park. A true hobby shop (they have sports cards, comics, stamps and more), this store buys and sells vintage records, especially those from the 1950s to ’80s. Browse the shelves to find a hidden gem.

The Sharp Notes, Paramus. This brand-new record store will officially open on Sept. 1 at Garden State Plaza, bringing a dedicated music shop back to the mall. Owned by New Jersey-based musician, music journalist and educator Evan Toth, The Sharp Notes will feature both new and used vinyl, compact discs, select audio equipment and a curated collection of music-inspired gifts.
