Santa Claus Is Coming To…

…River Edge, and Engine 3 escorted him in style.

The holiday season is in full swing, which means that the big man himself has been making stops all around Bergen County. You can catch Santa at local malls and family events—and, on Sunday, Dec. 7, he toured River Edge with the borough’s fire department. Every year, local firefighters escort him through the neighborhood so he can hand out candy canes and take photos with kids. This year, Chris “Doc” Denton captured one magical moment and posted it on his Instagram. Santa poses on Engine 3 in a fire helmet at the end of a day the department calls a “great success.” Says Denton, “During the holidays, I like to remind people spend time with friends and family throughout the year. It’s important that we’re there for each other. ”
