You might not be fit to be a king or queen, but you can at least smell like a noble. Penhaligon’s, the iconic 146-year-old British perfume house, is now open at Garden State Plaza, offering you the same scents and fragrances they supply to the royal family.

Their story began in the early 1900s, when William Penhaligon was appointed barber and perfumer of the British court. His brand was awarded three royal warrants—recognitions given to vendors who supplied products and services to royalty for a minimum of five years. Two of those warrants exist today, and some of Penhaligon’s original fragrances are still available in-store.

“There’s a certain elegance to shopping here and when wearing these fragrances,” Arnaud Rossi, 32, of Franklin Lakes says.

And the shop has arrived in time for the holidays! Skip the department store cologne gift set—give those nearest and dearest to you the scent of royalty.
