Sky's the Limit

The scariest part about the new skydiving facility in Bergen County just might be braving highway traffic to get there. No longer is a 12,000-foot leap of faith from an airplane necessary to get your adrenaline going thanks to Texas-based iFly Indoor Skydiving. The company is scheduled to open its first New Jersey location in Paramus, across Route 4 from the Outlets at Bergen Town Center on the spot formerly occupied by the Forum Diner. There, customers as young as 3 years old can experience the thrill of a simulated freefall inside a vertical wind tunnel. Because winds can reach heart-racing speeds of up to 120 miles per hour, participants will receive full coaching and lessons before they take flight. But you’re the pilot once inside the tunnel.
