If it feels like every conversation lately starts with the Knicks or the World Cup—you’re not imagining it. From neighborhood pizzerias to downtown plazas, Bergen County has officially caught sports fever, with fans gathering for watch parties, community celebrations and plenty of friendly debate over who’s bringing home the next big win.

Of course, there’s more than sports on the weekend calendar. Families can find everything from outdoor festivals and live entertainment to kid-friendly activities and local carnivals. Whether you’re planning a full day out or just looking for an excuse to get off the couch between games, there’s no shortage of ways to make the most of the weekend ahead.

June 12–14

  • Join the community as it comes together for the St. Francis Parish Market in Ridgefield Park. Stop by the church on Mount Vernon Street, which will have specialty vendors, food trucks, a beer garden, activities for all ages and more. The market is open from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 12:30 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

June 12

  • Everyone is invited to Fair Lawn’s free Juneteenth celebration, taking place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Fair Lawn Community Center. The day commemorates the ending of slavery in the U.S., and the program will include a live DJ, singing and dancing performances, food and informational vendors, kids’ activities, face painting and more.
  • Carb loading for a big race? Italian food aficionado? Looking for a night out? Pasta Night on the Farm at Fresh & Fancy Farms in New Milford is an evening out with friends and family and will feature Italian cuisine for all to experience. Tickets will include a full dinner menu with freshly baked bread, seasonal salad, three pasta dishes, dessert and more. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • The Lodi Concert Series returns when The Individuals crank up the tunes at Memorial Drive. The free event starts at 7 p.m., and guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets and community spirit.
  • The Village of Ridgewood will host a FIFA World Cup Watch Party in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square from 8 to 11 p.m. Kick-off for the USA vs. Paraguay match is scheduled for 9 p.m. The free event is intended for adults and teens.

June 13

  • If you’ve ever wanted to join a local theater group, here’s your chance. The Bergen County Players in Oradell is holding 2026–27 auditions for its upcoming season. Saturday auditions begin at 10 a.m., and invitation-only call-backs will be June 15. Shows in the upcoming season include The Producers, Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, The Guys, Calendar Girls, The Imaginary Invalid, One Man, Two Guv’nors and a mystery musical.   • Car lovers will enjoy the 62nd annual Mercedes-Benz Club of America’s June Jamboree at The Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus. The show, the longest running MBCA’s longest running event, will display classic Mercedes-Benz models throughout the shaded grounds. Admission also includes a tour of the Hermitage. Stop by from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the fun.
  • Visitors of all ages can attend the Old Tappan Police Department’s Touch-A-Truck event, happening at Northern Valley High School at Old Tappan. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., stop by to see, explore the details and even activate the sirens of police cars, fire trucks, ambulances and construction vehicles. Refreshments will be available.
  • See New York’s own Elmo and his friends during Elmo’s Got the Moves at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood. The latest from Sesame Street Live! features all your favorite characters singing, dancing and interacting with the audience. There will be shows at 2 and 6 p.m.
  • Get ready for America’s 250th anniversary celebration at the Franklin Lakes Freedom Fest & Fireworks program. Head to the municipal field behind borough hall for live music, food trucks, artisan vendors, kids’ games and activities and a fireworks show in the evening. The fun takes place from 2 to 9 p.m.
  • For a late afternoon of fun, check out Emerson’s Summer Kickoff at Hillman Field. From 4 to 8 p.m., there will be fun for all ages, food and drinks and live music by Blank Check Fiasco.
  • The NBA Finals shifts back to San Antonio, but you can root for the New York Knicks here in Bergen County at one of our great sports bars. Grab a seat for the party—tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
  • Not into the bar scene? The Williams Center in Rutherford is hosting its own NBA Finals watch party. Entry is free with registration, and there will be bar drinks available for purchase. Game time is 8:30 p.m.

June 14

  • Lace up your sneakers and hit the streets for a good cause: The Fort Lee 5K will benefit the William T. Burch Children’s Fund. The 5K run and a 1-mile fun run/walk takes place on a flat course along Abbott Boulevard, and will include awards for the top finishers in every age category. The 5K starts at 9 a.m., and the fun run begins at 9:30.
  • Birders of all skill levels will enjoy a free Nature Walk through DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst. Join the Bergen County Audubon Society from 10 a.m. to noon for a guided tour of the park, which is filled with swallows, kingfishers, herons, egrets, ospreys and more.
  • The annual Montvale mile-long street fair and food truck festival is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. along Paragon Drive. The festival will have hundreds of antique and craft vendors, rides, food trucks, games and activities for all ages, music and entertainment.
  • If you can’t score a ticket to MetLife Stadium for all the soccer action, a spot in Overpeck Park in Leonia is the next best thing. The Goya Presents Flag Cities 2026 fan festival will have all the games on giant LED screens, live music, local and international food vendors, artisan vendors, interactive soccer zones and much more. The festival takes place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and scheduled World Cup matches will be screened at 1 and 4 p.m.
  • Watch all the soccer action while enjoying a community carnival at the Garfield Multicultural Food and Music Festival. Head to 20th Century Field from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for live music, international food trucks, a beer garden, a petting zoo, children’s games and activities and all the World Cup games shown on big screen.
  • All residents can attend the Fair Lawn Pride Block Party, happening from noon to 4 p.m. at Memorial Park. The festivities will include a Pride ceremony, community fair and vendor bazaar, food and drinks for purchase, live music and entertainment.
  • For community vibes, swing by Wood-Ridge Town Day from 2 to 7 p.m. along Valley Boulevard. There will be plenty of vendors, rides, food and drinks for everyone as well as live music by ’70s rock cover band Super Trans Am.
