Six Spots For Waterside Adventures
Enjoy a day (or more!) at these close-by destinations for beaches, hiking, great entertainment and beyond.

There’s something about August that begs for a day spent outside next to the water, and it’s one of the most temping times of year to take a quick weekend trip. We have a few more shining weeks of summer, and we want to pack them full of vibrant afternoons, beautiful excursions and time spent with loved ones.
Craving more than a poolside afternoon? These six destinations, none too far, can give you that and more. Some beckon a day trip, some invite a slightly longer stay and all of them are filled with all the water and sunshine you could want (and check out the August issue of BERGEN for even more).
