This trio of stores has you covered for the start of summer: a new ’do, a new outfit and some ice cream.

If you think the discovery of a great new show on Netflix is a rush, you’re probably thrilled when you come across a recently opened local business. Well, it’s time to get excited again, as Bergen County welcomes three more stores to town: One held its ribbon-cutting ceremony this past weekend, another makes its debut today and the third opens shop next week.

Stop by and say hello to your neighbors at these new businesses:

Mario’s Unisex Salon, New Milford

Whether you need a quick trim or you haven’t had a cut since the pandemic began, the stylists here will treat you with care and give you the look you want. They specialize in cuts for kids, women and men as well as hair coloring or blow outs.

Daniela’s Ice Cream, Closter

Memorial Day is still a few weeks away, but we can attest that ice cream season is well underway. With that said, take a trip today to downtown Closter for the grand opening of this ice cream shop. In fact, Daniela’s will take 20 percent off your cones and cups (filled with homemade ice cream, of course) for the entire weekend. We’ll scream for that!

Tommy’s Folly Boutique, Ridgewood

The team already runs one shop in Cape May, but they’re expanding operations up north—specifically in a Ridgewood storefront that’s slated to open its doors next Thursday. The store’s beachy and bohemian looks for ladies and kids are the perfect fit for one of Bergen’s fashion-forward towns—and they’re perfect for your summer wardrobe.
