In his practice he daily treats patients ranging from birth to the elderly. Multiple times his peers have awarded Dr. Nieuwenhuis Jr. as Top Doctor in New Jersey and Top Doctor in Bergen County. He is an active staff member at The Valley Hospital and Surgicare of Ridgewood. Throughout the years he has participated in several medical mission trips abroad with Healing the Children where he corrects severe foot deformities in children.
