Fashion For All Sizes

Prompted by a passion for fashion and the conviction that size is merely a number, Sue Bahng, proprietor of Westwood’s Ginger N’ Cream, opened Ginger Love—a sister boutique located next door—this past November. Bahng says she was inspired to launch the new shop after styling the winners of Bergen Health & Life’s makeover challenge. “We didn’t have that many options in their sizes,” she recalls.

Ginger Love proffers head-to-toe contemporary styles—from casual clothes to gowns—in sizes 12 and up. But don’t mistake it for another plus-size store. “Size 12, large, extra-large—those aren’t necessarily plus size,” says Bahng. “A lot of women are proportioned differently. Some are tall, some wear different-size tops and bottoms.” Regardless of body type, she points out, “Every woman should dress to feel great about herself and not think, ‘I need to lose 10 pounds before I buy one blouse.’” Brands offered include T-Bags, ABS, Lucky Brand and James Jeans.
