Memberships cost $20 per year for individuals or families.

“Most of our events are complimentary tastings at restaurants,” says founder Linda Bradley, who notes that gatherings have been held at La Strada in Ridgewood and the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn. “The idea is that owners want their business to be on the forefront of people’s minds.”

Other events have included a party at Karma Organic Spa in Ridgewood, and a free class at PerforMAX fitness center in Waldwick. While some events do carry a fee, members are often offered a reduced price. “The events are a really nice way to try places you’re not sure about,” says Lori Shepherd of Ridgewood. “My husband and I have repeatedly gone back to many of the restaurants that have hosted tastings.”
