WHEN DR. MISATO AND DR. VENUTI DECIDED to open Ohana Dental, they had a clear mission statement: to treat everyone the way they would like to be treated—provide comprehensive dental care with respect, honesty, and integrity. The married couple met during their post-graduate studies at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and have since then, committed to this “golden rule” which has become the foundation of their family-centered practice. With their commitment to providing the highest quality personalized care in a kind, warm, and welcoming atmosphere, it is no coincidence that they decided to name their office, Ohana, which means “family” in the Hawaiian culture.  

Ohana Dental embraces a full scope of general and cosmetic dentistry with expertise ranging from basic preventative care to beautiful porcelain veneers. The doctors are dedicated to staying current and proficient with the most advanced dental technology and techniques by participating in continuing education and training courses throughout the country. The doctors are also devoted to community service at both the local and national level. Their annual involvement with Give Kids a Smile helps underserved children in the community by providing free dental care. Practicing with the highest levels of integrity and their altruistic efforts have made them a valued and respected pillar in the Bergen County community.  

Both Drs. Misato and Venuti obtained their Doctor of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) from Rutgers School of Dentistry. Dr. Misato completed a post-graduate residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Brooklyn. She’s furthered her studies in areas of cosmetic dentistry, laser dentistry and she is a certified provider of Invisalign® and injectables such as BOTOX®. She is also fluent in Japanese. Dr. Venuti completed his residency at Long Island Jewish Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y. Dr. Venuti continued his studies in sleep apnea dentistry, laser dentistry, and dental implantology. He has also completed a one-year Implant Fellowship affiliated with NYU College of Dentistry.
