Giving never tasted as sweet as it does in the yummy “Pink Ribbon” cupcake at Crumb’s Bake Shop in Ridgewood (201-447-5800, www.crumbs.com), which features pink vanilla cake topped with either pink or chocolate fondant adorned with ribbon-shaped sprinkles. It’s available October 1 through 15 for $3.75; 20 percent of proceeds go to the National Breast Cancer Coalition. Also a must-try: The cream cheese icing–topped pink cupcake ($2.75) and 7-inch “pink velvet” cake ($19.95) at nearby CupCakes by Carousel in Ridgewood (201-389-3090, www.cupcakesbycarousel.com); $1 from the sale of each benefits the October- Woman Foundation in Park Ridge. If you’re a candy lover, indulge in the Strawberry Crème milk chocolate “pink bar” by Ritter Sport ($1.99 to $2.99; www.ritter-sport.com), introduced to the United States this October by Paramus-based importer Euro-American Brands LLC and sold in such stores as ShopRite, A&P, Kings and Target. All proceeds go to the Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiag-nosis Center at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. For a bit of luxury, treat yourself to a treatment at Elizabeth RoChe Medspa (201-505-1020, www.elizabethrochemedspa.com) in Woodcliff Lake, where a portion of proceeds earned during the month of October will benefit the October- Woman Foundation. Or enjoy a day of shopping at Bloomingdale’s at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack (201-457-2000, www.bloomingdales.com), which will donate a percentage of sales of the Big Pink Umbrella, the Little Pink gift card and other products to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
