The Face of Italian Cuisine: Biagio Schiano

Biagio Schiano, owner of Mossuto’s Market, Café & Bar, goes to Italy four times a year for more than just fun. His main goal is to find the best pastas, olive oils, tomatoes and more that Mossuto’s can offer in its deli market, restaurant and bar and in every dish served in its full-service catering business. “We serve the highest quality food you can find,” says Schiano. “That doesn’t happen overnight, we have over 40 years of experience in sourcing the finest Italian ingredients.” Schiano’s experience spans back to when he worked alongside his parents in their Jersey Shore Italian deli. Today, Mossuto’s is Schiano’s long-time vision, made a reality in 2003 when he took over his father’s business, expanding and renaming it to honor his grandfather’s nickname.
