The Face of New Pool Construction: Theodora Sergiou

“Nothing brings friends and friends together like a swimming pool,” says Theodora Sergiou of Nicholas Pools, ”We build our customer’s dreams so they can build their memories.” If anyone knows this to be true, it’s Theodora. She began her long career of over 30 years in the swimming pool industry by working after school with her parents, Nicholas and Flora Christofi, the founders of Nicholas Pools. When they retired, Theodora and her husband, Sotiris, purchased the family business and grew it into one of Monmouth County’s largest backyard retailers specializing in vinyl liner in-ground swimming pools, pool restoration, hot tubs, maintenance and service. Theodora has paved the way for women in the pool and spa industry, winning awards including Woman of Distinction by the Professional Women in Construction. Nicholas Pools has also won numerous awards for its custom in-ground pools and spas that have created tropical paradises right here in Monmouth County.
